Our special guest in Streamlink's live chat was author and publisher William J. Birnes (pictured), the publisher of UFO magazine and the co-author with Col. Philip Corso of The Day After Roswell. Excerpts below:

Mr. Birnes, did Col. Corso work with more than 1 kind of alien space craft?
William Birnes
Yes, he worked on the time machine he saw in the NM desert as well as the one from either Corona or San Augustin.

A time machine!! Where did that come from....and when?
William Birnes
In 1957, Corso was told that a strange craft was downrange on the Red Canyon missile site. He flew over it, then drove to it. In the scorching desert heat, it was cold. Then it simply vanished. Hermann Oberth told him that it was an alien time machine.

William Birnes
We're publishing more Corso in Filament Book Club. And the magazine will be serializing Corso's biography starting later this year.

Is the involvement with alien technology solely back engineering or has there been cooperation?
William Birnes
I actually think there has been some cooperation, especially after we stopped shooting down their craft.

You mentioned something about Kennedy's assassination being tied to the UFO info coming out. Any of that info coming out in your new book?
William Birnes
Corso investigated the Warren Commission for Senator Richard Russell back in 1963. He found that it not only was a conspiracy, but figured out some of the people behind it. However, the Corso family is still worried about the explosive info in that book because some of the conspirators are still alive.

Can you give us a light overview of the new book Dawn of a New Age?
William Birnes
Sure. Dawn of a New Age is Corso's workbench notes of the different alien devices and the plans the Army worked out for getting them into key industries. It is less of a narrative and more of a long series of essays.

Bill, I am struggling a little with the credibility of Corso's story. What other evidence outside of his account has come to light to support his story?
William Birnes
Good question. In researching Corso, I have found that certain of the most incredible things he has claimed, like the two Lee Harvey Oswald's theory and the Manchurian Candidate theory of Korean War era POWs, have turned out to be true. Of course in General Trudeau's autobiography, declassified, he confirms the basic outlines of what Corso has said about the reverse engineering.

I wonder if some of our current cell phone technology and communications wonders didn't come from back engineered alien technology -- look at all we have in the last 10 years.

Corso said that most of the microscopic electronic circuitry we have today came from the Roswell craft.

Do you think Neil Armstrong remains silent because he can't discuss what he saw, eg what Corso says - alien base on dark side of moon?
William Birnes
Great question. I have heard that the astronauts, if they want to stay inside the power circles, have to keep mum on what they saw. And they saw plenty. There were or are strange alien bases on the dark side of the moon and anomalies that have been witnessed for the past five hundred years.

Aren't you concerned at all that Corso's story might be one big piece of government disinformation? While some of his past claims are true, and General Trudeau's outline matched it in "general", doesn't that make it a little too good to be true?
William Birnes
To answer your question specifically, when we first got the Corso story back in 1994, we went to the Army for his records and found that they were still under seal. He was still working for the Army, I believed at the time. However, I don't see this as disinformation as much as I see it as one part of the government, trying to get info out that another part didn't want out.

Do you know of any alien moon bases... if so for what purpose?
William Birnes
Ingo Swann in Penetration, and George Noory's aunt Shafica Karagulla, in our forthcoming book WORKER IN THE LIGHT from Tor/Forge, says that it was a mining operation of sorts. Aliens have been there for hundreds if not thousands of years. The construction of these moon base facilities is amazing

Mr. Birnes, who stands the most to lose if all of this information was presented by Peter Jennings or Dan Rather on prime time TV?
William Birnes
According to what Corso once said and what Dr. Greer is saying now, major corporations and their stockholders could lose big time. Just imagine if oil became worthless. Great for us pulling up at a gas pump, but bad news for all the retirement funds heavily invested in petroleum stocks. I think the energy companies have a lock on the release of this technology.

Do you think we will experience any measure of disclosure about ETs in the next 50 years?
William Birnes
Yes. And I herein make a prediction. We will have some form of disclosure this year, even if people don't recognize it's disclosure.
