Witness Photographs Massive Mysterious Wake in the Waters of Loch Ness

A woman at Loch Ness was left scratching her head when she spotted an enormous and inexplicable wake at the famed Scottish site. The peculiar incident reportedly occurred late last month when local resident Siobhan Janaway was at the location one morning and noticed "something causing turmoil in the water." Taking a closer look, she observed that it had "coalesced into a single object moving at speed just under the surface." The stunned witness noted that the anomaly's movement seemingly created a rather sizeable wake which she estimated to be "at least" 65 feet in length.

Making the case all the more mysterious, Janaway indicated that there no boats in the area which could account for the weird sight. She subsequently shared her story and an image of the wondrous wake (seen here) with the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, which deemed it worthy of being included in this year's tally. Oddly enough, Janaway's puzzling observation was actually the second of three such incidents over the course of the final week of August.

Witness Alastair Gray reported seeing "three odd and seemingly connected shapes where one part was sticking out of the water at 45 degrees with two other humps going up and down as if it was moving." His account was eerily echoed five days later by Fiona Wade, who observed a similar formation at the site. "It was like nothing I have seen before," she marveled, "and I can only describe it as Nessie as I can't think of any logical thing it could have been." The trio of sightings raise the total number of officially recognized on-site Loch Ness Monster reports for the year to seven.
