An Indiana Applebee's patron found herself in hot water with the law following a bizarre dispute over the restaurant's 'All You Can Eat' meal deal. The wild incident reportedly occurred earlier this month when the unnamed suspect and some friends sat down for dinner at the Portage location of the popular casual dining chain. Cops called to respond to the strange showdown say that it was sparked by an order of the restaurant's 'All You Can Eat' special of either boneless wings, riblets, or double crunch shrimp. While it is uncertain which of the three tasty options the woman selected, trouble arose when the entire group began feasting on the singular 'endless' meal.
According to police, tempers at the table flared when their waitress informed them that the 'All You Can Eat' deal is sold on a per person basis and, as such, everyone would have to pay the requisite $15.99 to enjoy the 'infinite' wings, riblets, or shrimp. As voices were raised, cops were eventually called and, upon their arrival, they encountered the angry group of friends outside the restaurant. It was there that police were brought up to speed on the situation and quickly cracked the case as they pointed out that, indeed, the Applebee's menu does note that the 'All You Can Eat' deal applies to each person individually.
While one might think that the clarification would have amicably settled the matter, that was unfortunately not the case for the woman at the center of the curious conflict. As she was talking with police in the parking lot, her attention suddenly turned to a couple exiting the restaurant. Explaining that she had also argued with the pair while inside the establishment, the angry Applebee's patron resumed their earlier dispute, much to the dismay of the cops, who later described her actions as "very loud and disorderly." Despite multiple warnings that she needed to calm down and the best efforts of her friends to heed those instructions from the police, the woman was ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct for her refusal to put an end to the fracas.
