Josh Gates

Adventurer, television personality, and author Josh Gates is the host and executive producer of the Travel Channel series, Expedition Unknown. To date, he has set foot in more than one hundred countries, scaled "the roof of Africa" on Mt. Kilimanjaro, and climbed Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. Josh holds a degree from Tufts University in Archaeology and is a fellow of The Explorers Club. Josh’s television travels have taken him to remote and often never-before-filmed locations, from the Himalayan mountains of Bhutan to the jungles of Madagascar. Josh conducted the first-ever overnight filming in the infamous tomb of King Tut in Egypt as well as at the sprawling temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
