Jay Christopher King is a community manager and artist, who co-founded The Experiencer Group with Stuart Davis and Kirsten Blackburn. After showing art through grad school, he began working in television as a writer/producer for travel, adventure, and food shows, primarily for the Discovery Channel and its properties. In recent years he transitioned to art again, and began doing work for the ufology researcher and historian Richard Dolan.
Before and especially during the pandemic, Jay became heavily involved in hosting and co-hosting a network of private, confidential support groups for fellow experiencers of anomalous phenomena. Through that work, he felt a calling that was heavily in need, for experiencers to have a larger private community to share, learn, and grow. Jay’s solo and collaborative artwork has been shown at venues including the Museo de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid; James Cohan Gallery, New York; and MoMA PS1. An alumnus of the Skowhegan artist residency, he holds a Fine Art BFA from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA in Film from Bard College.
