During the middle two hours, author Gary Renard shared information as revealed by Arten and Pursah, spirit guides who appeared to him in the flesh on numerous occasions. The two beings, whom he described as "ascended masters," told him they had lived previous incarnations as Jesus' disciples. Renard said they appeared to him in order to correct inaccuracies that had been propagated by the Bible and to teach spiritual truths.
Their basic message, which he said shared similarities to the material in A Course in Miracles, as well as some tenets of Buddhism, is that humans are caught in the projections of their own making. This illusory sense of duality keeps us from realizing our oneness and true reality, he explained.
The masters also told him that because of mankind's focus on duality, we could expect an acceleration of both good and bad events in the 21st century. There will be a huge economic expansion and the Dow will rise to the 100,000 level by 2050, yet there will also be a nuclear detonation in a major city instigated by terrorists, they predicted. The last hour of the show was devoted to Open Lines.
Ray Bradbury Appearance
During the first hour, sci-fi legend Ray Bradbury appeared along with fellow sci-fi author Marc Zicree. Bradbury revealed that it took him five years to write The Martian Chronicles but that he wrote Fahrenheit 451 in only nine days. "I can blame it all on you," said Richard C. Hoagland when he called in to speak with Bradbury. He told him that The Martian Chronicles served as an inspiration to him in developing his theories about Mars. Bradbury said he believes we will have manned missions to Mars that will lead to a 10,000 year period of civilizing the Red Planet. Featured on Ray Bradbury's website is a set of QuickTime video clips in which he discusses a variety of topics.
