Cosmic Evolution

Science essayist James Gardner discussed the idea of an intelligent universe, the process of cosmic evolution, and the ET presence. A predecessor universe created our current universe, which is incredibly fine-tuned to support life, he stated. These life-friendly constraints were handed down by the cosmos that came before us.

Life on other planets may have evolved to "post biological forms," and he suggested that humans are in the process of creating their own successor-- "hyper-intelligent machines." Such machines will be our next generation of space exploration vehicles, possibly capable of terraforming planets, Gardner posited.

Extraterrestrial entities are here, but we don't even notice them-- they are in the food we eat and the air we breathe. They are the atoms that combine to form the molecules of matter and were "hammered into existence" during giant supernova explosions, he explained.

Middle East Update

In the first half-hour, radio host Hossein Hedjazi offered insights into the situation in Iran. Then, columnist John M. Curtis discussed Tony Blair's plan to pull British troops out of Iraq. "I think the entire structure of the Iraq war disintegrated when the rug was pulled out from underneath Rumsfeld," he commented.
