In our 'Secret Door' Thanksgiving special, a variety of guests made surprise appearances. First through the door were the Psychic Twins, Terry & Linda Jamison who shared some of their predictions. They foresee advances in health care for 2009, including breakthroughs for AIDS, cancer, autism, and stem cell research. However, on the economic front, the new year will be a rough road with unemployment rising to 8 to 9%-- it will take at least 12 months for stocks to stabilize, they said. More of the Psychic Twins' predictions will be featured in the January issue of After Dark.
In the second hour, the surprise guest was medium James Van Praagh who spoke about his communications with spirits. He said he recently encountered what may have been the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, though he noted spirits of loved ones are most likely to visit in the first two years after their death.
Entering through the secret door in the third hour, author and lecturer David Icke stirred up controversy with his contention that President-Elect Obama is a salesman for the Illuminati, controlled by advisors such as Zbigniew Brzezinski. The election has been "a massive mind manipulation of the American psyche," with Obama serving as a blank screen that people can project what they want to see, he suggested.
Near-Death experiencer Dannion Brinkley popped in to talk about a trend towards spiritual awakening he sees coalescing between 2010-2012. He also spoke about his observations of "Praying Mantis"-type beings he saw when "passing through worlds" while recovering from a lightning strike in 1975.
In the last hour, occult researcher Jordan Maxwell asserted that Illuminati catchphrases were used by both parties during the election. He also expressed consternation that the whole world was being "herded into a pen," by the secret societies who seek domination of the human race.
