Life of Uri Geller/ Power of Thought

Date

Hosted byGeorge Noory

In the first half, Uri Geller, the world's most investigated and celebrated paranormalist, returned to share updates, and talk about his past endeavors and experiences. He recently moved back to Israel and is living in Old Jaffa, where he's purchased a 1,000-year-old building that he's turning into the Uri Geller Museum (related photos). On display will be a giant bent spoon sculpture, his Cadillac which is covered in spoons (pictured above), and items given to him by famous friends including John Lennon, Salvador Dali, and David Bowie. The gift from Lennon is an egg-like object that he told Geller was delivered to him from an alien hand.

Geller recounted some of his UFO experiences-- one of them was as a child living in Israel, where he saw a sphere of light and was then hit by a beam of light. He spoke about being recruited by the Mossad, and how this led to having his psychic abilities tested by scientists working for the CIA in the US. Geller also revealed that he bought Lamb island off Scotland, where he believes the ancient Egyptians sailed and possibly buried treasure. Toward the end of the interview, he conducted another of his live experiments where he asked the listeners to bring in their broken watches and other appliances to see if he could help get them working again.

In the latter half, well-known voice of occult and esoteric ideas, Mitch Horowitz, shared his guide to creating miracles in one's life through the power of thought. Drawing on the work of New Thought pioneers such as Neville Goddard, and a group of 19th-century esoteric seekers known as "the Miracle Club," he laid out a concise pathway to manifest your deepest desires. Linear time is a powerful (though necessary) illusion we use to organize our lives, he noted, and this means that we're "selecting" (rather than manifesting) events all the time "from across an infinitude of possibilities." When you identify and focus on your heartfelt desire, it can be set into motion through "emotively charged thought," he explained.

But it's important to carefully scrutinize your convictions, he added, to determine what it is you truly want in your life. He announced a new "30-day Mental Challenge" where you write out a pledge for the next month, dedicating your mind to everything that is productive and forwarding. During this period, "you're not going to think of negative events of the past or unpleasant possibilities of the future," he outlined. "You're going to think that every reasonable ambition is within your grasp." Horowitz also mentioned Claude Bristol's "mirror technique" in which you look yourself in a mirror and positively state out loud what you want to occur-- the simple exercise seems to have a magnifying effect on your psyche, he cited.
