Psychic Mediumship / In the Flow

Date

Hosted byGeorge Noory

One of the country’s foremost psychic mediums, John Edward is the author of several bestselling books on contact with the Other Side. With his compelling, often startling insights, his down-to-earth approach has earned him a vast and loyal following for over three decades. In the first half, he discussed how he discovered his psychic abilities, his career spanning two TV series, and the messages he receives from departed spirits. He first started out doing readings at psychic fairs, which branched out into groups. The material presented in the groups led to his first book, he explained, and in the year 2000 his popular TV series, "Crossing Over with John Edward" was first broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel.

In his readings he temporarily enters someone's "vibration" and then he shakes it off afterward as a kind of psychic protection. "I have a team of energies that I work with that help and guide me" through the process, he continued, though the main focus of his mediumship is directly connecting with the energy of someone in the family of the person getting the reading. Edward said he "interprets" what he sees and if it's negative, he'll deliver the info to a client if it's beneficial for them to know, or if they can do something to shift it. "Our future is created and manifested by our thoughts today," he remarked, so if you're dealing with a health issue, say to yourself "I am healthy, I am whole, and I am complete," in the present tense, even if you are currently ill. During the second hour, he gave readings for callers.

Theoretical physicist, speaker, author, and musician, Sky Nelson-Issacs has a master’s degree in physics from San Francisco State University, with a thesis in String Theory. In the latter half, he talked about his cutting-edge scientific theory of synchronicity as a model for living "in the flow"--a state of optimal functioning and creative thinking. He defined synchronicity as an alignment of circumstances, where there is a meaningful relationship between an outside and inside event. A future experience that can be anticipated connects or interacts with a tree of possibilities or outcomes, he explained, and by paying attention to the synchronicities and their meanings, we can experience more flow in our lives.

Being in the flow is about "letting go of the worry of whether or not we're in control," said Nelson-Isaacs, and knowing that there are times to respect transcendence and let go. A six-step process he teaches to get into flow, he calls LORRAX:

  1. Listen to your life, noticing the circumstances and obstacles.
  2. Open your mind.
  3. Refect on the core things I care about in relation to the circumstances.
  4. Release or let go of attachments that might be holding you back.
  5. Action is taken in alignment with what's going on.
  6. (X) Repeat the cycle of steps.
