Astrologer Mark Lerner reached thousands of astrological students and professionals worldwide with his book "Welcome to Planet Earth." In the first half, he discussed which planetary alignments are dominating the rest of 2022 and early 2023, and what we might expect. There will be a total lunar eclipse on November 8th, the day of the US midterm elections. He finds it significant that this momentous occasion for America coincides with a powerful celestial event, which will activate the sun, the Moon, and Uranus. Uranus is the planet of the unexpected, so be prepared for some surprises in the election, he added.

On October 30th, the day before Halloween, Mars in Gemini will go retrograde for 75 days, and this can be a period where people and nations are more jittery or emotional, he said. Back in February, Venus and Mars made a conjunction with Pluto just after Putin began his invasion of Ukraine, and this was just as Pluto was back in America's chart, Lerner noted, citing concerns about a larger war. He talked about the similarity in the astrological charts of Queen Elizabeth and Mikhail Gorbachev, who both recently passed away, as well as how Gorbachev's chart related to Nostradamus. Lerner also announced the launch of his new GPS Astrology Magazine, which is available as a free download.

Author and historian David Edward is a retired special agent from the US Army and holds advanced degrees in engineering. In the latter half, he presented his research on where he believes the true physical location of Atlantis was, as well as reviewed competing theories. Edward declared this location to be in West Africa, where the country Mauritania currently exists. He bases this primarily on how Plato described Atlantis, which he considers to have historical accuracy. He noted that Plato's writings were not derived from oral tradition, but rather came from texts written on a scroll by the Athenian statesman Solan who had traveled to Egypt. Edward also looked at the historical writings of Herodotus, who mentioned a people called the Atlanteans, situated west of Egypt.

Edward dated the civilization's end to 9600 BCE, a neolithic period where agriculture had taken hold. According to Plato, Atlantis was considered three different things-- a capital city, a continent, and a kingdom-- where the spread-out remnants of the civilization in places such as Libya survived after a great disaster destroyed Atlantis proper. Plato said the cataclysm occurred in just a day and a night, and Edward speculated that a tsunami hit the land, possibly due to a comet impact or earthquake. When you look at Mauritania in satellite images, you can see evidence of a massive water runoff into the sea, suggesting that the country was once underwater, he said.

During the last half-hour, George shared his reading of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart."
