Dave Foley is a Canadian actor, stand-up comedian, director, producer and writer. He is a co-founding member of the comedy group The Kids in the Hall, responsible for their eponymous sketch show and the feature-length film, Brain Candy. He joined Ian Punnett (Twitter) on Friday's show to discuss his UFO sighting and his podcast, REALLY?!., which delves into the truth behind UAP and related topics. "I don't believe in UFOs, I know that there is a UFO reality," Foley said. We know there are objects performing impossible aeronautic feats in our airspace, he continued, noting the ample evidence and credible eyewitness reports in support of the phenomena.
When Foley began talking about UFOs it took a while to convince people he was taking the topic seriously, he admitted. "I kind of feel like comedians have been useful idiots for the cover-up of UFOs and the stigmatization of UFOs for decades," Foley explained. Comedians latched on to UFOs and experiencers as an easy joke but have done harm to those who have suffered, he added. Foley's aim with his new podcast is to seriously examine the UFO reality and to uncover more about what it is.
Foley recounted his own UFO experience from January 2022, when he and filmmaker Jeremy Corbell were hanging out together and saw something unusual in the skies above them. "There was this orange and gold object on the horizon, pulsing with an orange-gold light, and on the front of it were three white lights that were also pulsing," he recalled. The two watched the "completely silent" object fly around and then disappear behind mountains. Foley also shared a haunting experience he had at a bungalow in Nova Scotia, where he saw a girl dressed in pioneer garb standing in his doorway. "This figure floated across the foot of my bed, smiled at me, and disappeared," he reported.

Open Lines followed in the latter half of the program. Eric phoned in to share his thoughts on singer Tony Bennett, who passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at age 96. "I'm feeling the sorrow of his passing," Eric admitted, adding his heart goes out to the good people who are taking care of their aging parents and grandparents. Johnny in Vegas talked about his traveling variety show, which he described as modern vaudeville. His troupe performs as aliens, angels, ancestors, and metaphysical creatures. "Since I was a kid I told everyone I was from space," he told Ian, adding he has lived many lives. Throughout his journey, Johnny revealed he has learned that "everything kind of originates from the imagination... reality is as amazing as our imagination."
Zack from Colorado told Ian he and his brother are amateur astronomers. One night while they were looking at the globular cluster in the constellation Hercules, they spotted something unusual. "I looked up in the night sky, and going from east to west was this sort of barely visible shape, kind of in the shape of a chevron," Zack recalled. It made one pass, then stayed above the house in the western part of the sky. "It did this amazing display, kind of shape-shifted... I could see all of these individual lights that were connected by this glow," he explained. The object then turned on a point and left faster than they could keep track of it. Zack suggested the object may have been a government project.
