John Kozik is the owner of the Witch Board Museums in Salem, Mass., and Baltimore, and Robert Murch is president of the Talking Board Historical Society (TBHS). In the first half, they discussed the history of Ouija and other talking boards and their cultural and spiritual significance. Murch, a passionate collector and historian of Ouija boards (view related images), shared his deep fascination with the mystical game that began in his youth. He emphasized the importance of mindset during use, stating, "The Ouija board is really a mirror that will reflect whatever you bring to it." When asked about the board's movements, he explained differing beliefs, from subconscious muscle responses to a form of telepathy. He also offered tips for safe usage, including preparing questions in advance and maintaining control over the session.

Kozik shared that his interest in Ouija boards began when he observed his grandmother using it by herself. "Her fingers...would fly across the board really fast. She would yell out letters and numbers quicker than anyone could write down what she was saying." He noted that talking boards date back to around the 1860s as homemade devices that were a cross between two other spiritual communication tools-- an alphabet board and an automatic writing planchette. Around 1890, the board was developed into the Ouija that we know of today. During a séance, a woman named Helen Peters asked the board what it wanted to be called, and the board spelled back O-U-J-I-A, and then when she asked what that meant, the board spelled back, "Good luck." So the board actually named itself, Kozik marveled. Both he and Murch are founding members of the TBHS, a registered non-profit that researches, preserves, and celebrates the history of the boards, as well as honors some of the early pioneers.

Master psychic, author, and speaker Barbara Jean Lindsey experienced a near-death experience (NDE) in 1989 that awakened psychic ability. In the latter half, she recalled her NDE, and other profound psychic/spiritual encounters. During her NDE, while in the ICU, she experienced a journey through an "undulating water of love," where she felt an overwhelming connection to the Earth. In this same experience, she described meeting a guardian on a spaceship and communing with a council of beings, who indicated they serve as 'Watchers' of our planet. The guardian, whose face was obscured, was around 8 ft. tall with square shoulders and communicated telepathically.

One of the most significant moments in Lindsey's spiritual journey was her encounter with the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet at the Temple of Karnak. She described feeling a deep connection as the goddess seemingly stepped out of a statue to communicate with her telepathically. Sekhmet's words, 'You are powerful. You earned it. Don't ever forget this,' underscored the importance of self-empowerment and healing from an abusive past. Lindsey also shared her experience at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona, where she and a friend had an extraordinary encounter with the 'KaKaKa,' described as 3-4 ft. tall, large-eyed, wispy ancient beings believed to reside beneath the mountains. She also recounted her attempt to visit the renowned alien contactee Billy Meier during her time in Switzerland. In the final hour, she offered readings for callers.
