Hidden History / Shroud of Turin

Date

Hosted byRichard Syrett

In the first half, Donald Jeffries joins host Richard Syrett (Twitter) to deep-dive down rabbit holes about how court historians promote disinformation. Jeffries will also talk about how cancel culture was born during the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and he will recount the shocking abuses of our military forces in countries like Mexico, Haiti, the Philippines, and elsewhere, causing us to look at the supposed heroes and villains of American history with a different lens. In the second half, Russ Breault will discuss the latest news about the Shroud of Turin, which bears the faint image of a bearded crucified man with corresponding bloodstains that match the Gospel accounts of what happened to Jesus. For centuries, debate has raged over whether the Shroud of Turin is in fact the original burial shroud of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion. A recent study by Italian scientists finds the shroud does indeed date back to the time of Jesus Christ.

6-10pm PT: Art Bell — Somewhere in Time travels back to September 24, 1999, when theoretical physicist Michio Kaku told Art that one day we will just ask the internet questions, and it will answer us. It looks like Kaku was able to see the future. He also discussed string theory and time travel.
