First Half: History professor and author William R. Forstchen will reveal what we can learn from recent disasters including the flood in North Carolina and the LA fires. He'll address our lack of preparedness for such events and how that can be applied to the wider issue of threats to our electrical and communications systems, and to events such as EMPs and solar storms.
Second Half: Author Marc Hartzman has a fascination for the bizarre and unusual. He'll discuss weird stories and present the research he has done on the fascinating practice of sword swallowing.
