An exciting session of Open Lines occupied nearly the entire show. Art mentioned the news conference about Flight 800 and the crash. The cockpit and data recorder were located. Theories were already circulating that a bomb or a missile may have been responsible, but Art does not believe the US military would cover up shooting down the plane. Art read a story called "Strange Ways To Die," and discusses an intriguing "Nebraska crop circle" photo.
Among the topics callers addressed were the OJ Simpson trial, the movie "7", and the controversy over Bill Clinton smoking marijuana. In hour 3, Art asked "computer geeks" to try to decipher some weird audio that sounded like a backwards-masked cartoon voice. In the last hour, a super Art Bell fan gets through-- her goal in life is to get a computer so she can see his "website thing."
