In the first two hours of the program, the late Dr. Fred Bell discussed the time machine he built in the 1980s. When he used the machine to travel ahead in the future, he told Art, there was nothing but blackness. He also spoke on how an understanding of the nature of human consciousness can be harnessed to achieve time travel, and the technology involved in the supposed WWII invisibility project known as the Philadelphia Experiment.
Dr. Bell claimed he made a twenty-foot-tall device that demonstrated inter-dimensional time travel with lasers. Using the machine caused trees to grow around it, and it also caused him to act strangely, he said. Art expressed some skepticism of Dr. Bell's claims.
The remainder of the program featured news and Open Lines, with Art taking calls only from truckers in the fourth hour. Topics covered included a sexual assault scandal in the US Army, a proposal to ban nude sunbathing in Florida, and TWA Flight 800.
