Alex Abella

Biography:

Author, Emmy-nominated TV reporter and screenwriter Alex Abella, was born in Cuba and migrated to the United States with his family at age 10. He grew up in New York City where he won a Pulitzer Scholarship to Columbia University. After graduation, he joined the San Francisco Chronicle as a reporter and later switched to TV at KTVU as a producer, writer and reporter. His non-fiction work includes Shadow Enemies, about a plot by Adolf Hitler to start a wave of terror and destruction in the United States. He is also the author and screenwriter of The Killing of the Saints about a Cuban-American lawyer and private investigator. Alex was the first journalist allowed full access to the RAND Corporation's files in Santa Monica, California, which resulted in his latest book, Soldiers of Reason. He resides in the suburbs of Los Angeles with his wife and children.
