Biography:

Stephen E. Braude is Professor and Chair of Philosophy at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. His earliest research was in logic and the philosophies of language and time. He then moved on to the philosophy of mind and the philosophy of science, focusing especially on the evidence for psychic phenomena in the hope that it would provide new insights into traditional philosophical problems. He also turned his attention to hypnosis and multiple personality.
