Rachael Herpel

Biography:

Rachael Herpel is the Community Programs Director at The Groundwater Foundation, an internationally known non-profit organization dedicated to educating and motivating people to care for and about groundwater. The Foundation focuses on education for action, understanding that pollution prevention is the most effective, cost efficient way to protect groundwater.

Rachel earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she specialized in environmental planning and water quality issues. She is currently directing the Groundwater Guardian Green Site program, which encourages the managers of highly-managed green spaces (e.g., golf courses, ball fields, etc.) to implement, measure, and document their groundwater-friendly practices.
