Jan Hodges

Jan Hodges

Biography:

Jan Newcombe Hodges has been one of the foremost leaders in the development and integration of new technology and innovations for decades, beginning with his founding of Hodges Robotics, Intl in the late 70's. At HRI, with an associate, Dr. Carl Page, he developed numerous artificially intelligent, semiautonomous robotic systems, for application work in aerospace, oceanic exploration, entertainment and the nuclear domain. Building the mobile robot that first entered the crippled Three-mile Island reactor, he quickly expanded these systems for work in bomb-squad operations, fire fighting and battlefield applications.

In 1985, he managed R&D operations and provided 'out of the box' technology for aiding in the manufacture processes of the B2 bomber stealth aircraft. While working with NASA, he developed the Mars Clock, to be used on robotic platforms roaming the Martian surface. Through most of the 90's, he was lecturing, developing Technology Curriculums, instructing at Universities and Fortune 500 Corporations and developing technology to aid in the modification and upgrades to Nuclear Power Plants in Spain, Taiwan and Japan. Mr. Hodges has also become a pioneer in the world of Automatic Identification Technology.
