Duncan Lunan

Biography:

Duncan Lunan is a full time writer of science fact and also of science fiction. His published works include three non-fiction books, Man and the Stars, New Worlds for Old, and Man in the Planets. From 1971 to 1985 he was the science fiction critic for the Glasgow Herald, from 1986 to 1991 he was the organizer of its science fiction short story competition, and from 1986 until 1994 he ran an annual science fiction creative writing class at Glasgow University. Also, in 1978 to 1979 as manager of the Glasgow Parks Department Astronomy Project, Duncan designed and built the first astronomically aligned stone circle for five thousand years, in Sighthill Park, North of Glasgow city centre. At the present time, Duncan is the Secretary of ASTRA and is joint Curator at the Airdrie Observatory.
