Tuesday night's guest, Betty Eadie, shared her amazing encounter that occurred after she died at a hospital during routine surgery, around 30 years ago. Suddenly "I heard a pop and I could see myself lying there," began her vivid description of her near death experience (NDE).

Eadie said she saw a pinpoint of light coming towards her from a pitch black area she had entered. The light became a God-like being that she recognized as Jesus. He showed her other worlds and universes, and told her that people often reincarnate in these other realms rather than returning to Earth in the next life.

She also participated in a "life review" overseen by a council, where Eadie said she intensely felt the effects of all the actions, good and bad, that she had made while alive. Eventually, she was told she needed to return to her body to complete her mission, which she believes was to write her books about this experience. Eadie also discussed her involvement in NDE studies, and working with people facing death, including a Texas death row inmate, for whom she served as spiritual advisor.
