Tuesday's guest, Charles R. Smith, a NewsMax columnist and the President of Softwar Consulting, discussed the covert testing of a new high-flying reconnaissance plane. Some of the latest craft being developed by the military are extremely maneuverable and capable of making sharp turns at high speeds, he said.

Smith believes that up to 90% of UFO reports actually stem from clandestine military craft, which from a distance may look unusual or exotic. For instance, he suggested some of the "black triangle" sightings could be attributed to the Aurora, a large "arrowhead" shaped jet that could "skip off" the atmosphere. Now retired, the Aurora was as long as 150 ft. Smith noted, so it would not explain the sightings of some triangles that were reported to be the size of a football field. The technology for these super secret military projects does not come from ET sources, Smith said, but rather should be credited to people like Kelly Johnson, the former head of Lockheed's Skunkworks.

Smith also discussed the military technology and preparedness of other countries. Russia he said, closely follows the US in such items as its hypersonic cruise missiles which it sells to China. Don't just think of China "as an agrarian Communist state," Smith commented. It's actually a very capable modern state which is under a totalitarian rule. As opposed to the US's military strategies which Smith dubbed "McWar," China thinks in longer terms, and may for instance make a move on Taiwan in the 2008-2010 time frame, he ventured.
