  • About the show

Dr. Allan Botkin discussed his pioneering method to "heal grief" using Induced After Death Communication (IADC). The IADC process begins by getting the patient to move his or her eyes in a particular rhythmic fashion. According to Botkin, the eye movement causes the patient's brain to enter a higher processing mode where he or she can confront a traumatic memory.

During the therapy, Botkin's patients reported communicating with their dead loved ones, and shared some of the same experiences described by people who have had a Near-Death Experience (NDE). Interestingly, Botkin said "only the deceased appear in IADCs." He cautioned that this therapy is not for everyone, as it "takes people to their deepest pain rather rapidly." Botkin claims, of the 3000 patients he has treated, all have been able to resolve their grief.

One of his patients, a Vietnam veteran named Mike, recounted the time he encountered his deceased son during an IADC session. Mike said his son died in childbirth due to medical malpractice, and he had been burdened by guilt for many years. In the IADC, his son told him that "life is a continuum and [they] were joined for eternity." While Botkin is still unsure of exactly what's happening during IADCs, he's convinced "if there is an afterlife, this is it."

    Terror Tape

During the first half hour, Douglas Hagmann of the Northeast Intelligence Network provided an update on the tape sent to ABC News that may warn of a coming terror strike against the US. Though the tape has not yet been authenticated, Hagmann suggested the circumstances surrounding it were suspect. In his opinion, the most opportune time for another attack on the US would be just after the presidential election, especially if the outcome is contested.
