  • About the show

Former Army Colonel, Dr. John Alexander shared his expertise in non-lethal weaponry and modern warfare, and also reacted to Jon Ronson's recent appearance on the show. He claimed that Ronson got a large number of facts wrong in his book The Men Who Stare at Goats, which purportedly documented secretive military experiments using the paranormal. For instance, the First Earth Battalion, which Ronson said was behind the experimentation was never a military unit, but rather a "notional" group that served more as a think tank, Alexander stated.

Interestingly, Col. Alexander was also critical of some of the information in the late Col. Philip Corso's book The Day After Roswell, saying that most of the technological issues he raised "did not track." However, he did note that Corso (who was his friend) had told him that his planned second book was going to correct some of those errors.

Alexander touched on the military's new Active Denial System, a beamed weapon that causes intense pain just below the skin and can be used for crowd control. He also discussed a set of psychokinesis (PK) experiments, where in one instance a fork fell over 90 degrees.

    Solar Flares

First half-hour guest, space weather expert Dr. Ramon Lopez commented on recent solar activity, saying the spate of seven solar flares was part of a normal cycle which occurs over an 11-year period. Sunspot 798 is now rotating into a direct view of Earth, he noted, and could cause geomagnetic activity that will have an adverse affect on some of our technology.

    Morgus is Safe

We are happy to announce that Dr. Morgus, who hails from New Orleans, is reported to be alive and well. According to morgus.com, he is "working on a method of neutralizing the destructive energy of hurricanes."
