  • About the show

Author and UFO researcher Kevin Randle discussed science-fiction trends in Hollywood films, and differentiated science-fiction from fantasy. Good sci-fi is driven by well-drawn characters and how they react to situations, and the science aspect is often more incidental, he opined. Today's films often leave little to the imagination, creating less mystery than movies from earlier decades, he added.

Sci-fi films can warn us about the future, but also show us how fabulous it might be, said Randle. They don't always accurately predict the future though. For instance films from the 50's and 60's did not see the rise of home computers, he noted. Randle also reacted to a list of Top 10 Sci-Fi Films selected by a panel of scientists.

Offering an update on the Roswell case, which he has researched since the 1980's, Randle said he believes an alien craft crashed in the New Mexico desert in 1947, in spite of some less-than-credible witnesses who reported seeing alien bodies. He also dismissed Nick Redfern's new theory about the case, which Randle elaborates on in an article for Fate Magazine.
