  • About the show

Friday evening's Open Lines featured a hotline for time travelers. A caller claiming to be from 300 years in the future said he traveled back in time to study the 'nuclear family' (a group consisting of a father, a mother, and their children) because it no longer exist in his time. He also reported that oil is no longer used for the generation of energy and mankind has established bases on Mars. Another time traveler, Ted from 2125, told George he didn't have much time to speak to him. He mentioned World War 6 and China's takeover of the United States before his call abruptly (and mysteriously) ended.

Other interesting callers included Arthur from Tucson, who recounted the time he witnessed a firefighter drop an axe from the upper floor of a building. According to Arthur, the firefighter came down from the building to get his axe and, by some strange lapse in physics, was actually struck in the back by it. Crystal shared a positive ouija board experience in which the spirit of Albert Einstein urged her uncle to "know God."

Notorious repeat caller J.C. phoned in with an emergency situation about his associate Edna Pringle, who he claims recently fled the compound with $10,000 in cash. J.C. said she had be acting strange lately and he knew something was wrong when he caught her listening to the Pointer Sisters. J.C. believes she ran away with a Streamlink member, and reported last seeing Edna riding away on the back of a motorcycle.

    Parrot Predictions

First hour guest, parrot intelligence researcher Ryan Reynolds, shared some talking budgie predictions concerning natural disasters and the end times. According to Reynolds, parrots possess highly advanced communication skills and a "metaphysical connection" to the universe that allows them to predict future events.

Reynolds said two birds, Ditto and Pipsqueak, spoke about earthquakes leading up to the recent Pakistan tremblor. George played a recording of one budgie saying "tsunami," which Reynolds claims occurred before the Indonesian tragedy. Reynolds also suggested that parrots are concerned about the future and feel that the end times are coming. For more, check out this video clip of Reynolds' parrot Victor talking about how his mate Betty is not listening to him.
