  • About the show

Joining guest host Chris McGill, author Joan Wester Anderson presented a collection of true stories attesting to angelic intervention in human affairs. She first became interested in this subject when she sent out a prayer for assistance for her son when he was trapped in freezing cold weather while driving home from college. He related to her that a man in a tow truck brought him out of the cold but afterwards he and his truck were suddenly gone. Anderson later realized that the event took place just as she had made her prayer.

Angels typically do not have wings or halos but appear as ordinary people, wanting to preserve their anonymity, she reported. They are prevalent in almost all religions and "they belong to everyone." Further, she said that they are not the spirits of deceased people, but rather entities that were created before us who do not have bodies.

A 9-11 survivor named Janelle was encased in rubble in the World Trade Center for 25 hours before being rescued, Anderson detailed. Several hours before her rescue she reported being visited by a man named Paul who said he was from the "Advanced Rescue Squad." He spent a long time talking and comforting her, but later, firemen said it would have been impossible for someone to speak with her as she was fully encased and there would have been no room to sit next to her.

    Spirit of Santa

First hour guest Bob Litak explained why he believes in the spirit of Santa as a force for good that takes shape around this time of year. For 12 years, he played the role of Santa Claus in a small Wisconsin town and was accompanied by a woman named Anne Scheer who played Mrs. Klaus. She seemed to have clairvoyant knowledge about the children, said Litak. After Anne died, around Christmas-time he went to visit her gravesite. He found a plate of Christmas cookies at her tombstone, yet there were no tracks in the snow, leading to him conclude that a non-physical entity may have left them. See related photo.
