  • About the show

Psychic medium Mary Occhino made her debut on the show, sharing her history, methodology and insights. In her initial experiments, decades ago, she used a Ouija board, and made contact with a benign spirit named "Quicksilver" who'd been a soldier in the Civil War.

From her many subsequent communications with the departed, she learned that "the other side" has a solid feeling of peace, though its actual environment varies from spirit to spirit. They "work harder on the other side," than we do here, trying to teach us things, Occchino explained. The departed are trying to communicate with all of us, but most of the living are "deaf" to their messages, she added.

In one unusual encounter, she described having an OBE in her children's room, with her spirit floating to the ceiling. She observed a whirlpool-like formation open up on the floor, and saw a cage of three ferocious horned beasts begin to rise up. Upon saying the Lord's Prayer, the cage descended and the hole closed up. When loved ones are in trouble or have an event where they need assistance, Occhino advised that one can "loan" out their guardian angel. Simply say something like 'leave me today and please go help my daughter.'

Medium Mary Occhino took part in a 2002 experiment with Gary Schwartz, in which she gave a reading long distance to an unknown sitter. The sitter, it turns out was the well known author Deepak Chopra, and Occhino and two other mediums offered substantial information, both specific and accurate about Chopra's deceased father.
