Ufologist and physicist Stanton Friedman returned with an update on UFOs. His new book Captured (co-authored with Kathleen Marden), is about the Betty & Barney Hill abduction and will be released this summer. Friedman said that the Hill incident remains one of the strongest UFO cases because of its respectable witnesses and investigators, insights into the alien mindset, and indicators of where the ETs came from (the Zeta Reticuli system according to a star map).

Friedman noted that Jesse Marcel Jr. is also coming out with a book this summer, "Roswell Legacy," which tells the story of his father. Marcel Jr. reportedly saw some of the UFO artifacts which his father brought home from the crash site.

France's recent release of UFO information, while a step in the right direction, contained civilian material rather than anything classified, Friedman commented. In the latter half of the program, he reacted to callers' UFO accounts, which included a man who said he was an Air Force pilot in the 1980s, and pursued a triangular craft for 20 minutes.

    Sunspots in 2012

During the first half-hour, two guests reacted to the announcement that sunspot activity is predicted to peak during the 2011-2012 period. Physicist James McCanney noted that the sun is "out of sorts" and spoke about a recent comet aligning with Venus and its electrical discharge attaching to the sun. Then, author Lawrence Joseph commented that fluctuating sunspots have recently been correlated with increased volcanoes and earthquakes.
