  • About the show

During the first three hours, researcher Matt Savinar spoke about the peak oil crisis. US oil production peaked in 1971 and has been declining ever since then-- and most other countries are past their peak as well, he reported. New findings such as the "media-hyped" huge oil reserve in the Gulf of Mexico (five miles beneath the ocean) are not particularly accessible, he commented.

Savinar sees the economy collapsing, and people plunged into a 'Mad Max' scenario as oil and gas become scarcer and more expensive. Referencing the article War Games on the Grandest Scale, he noted that the Pentagon is conducting simulations on how the population will react to food shortages and pandemonium. Fuel shortages would lead to chaos rather than tyranny, he predicted, as a police state would be just as fuel-dependent as its citizens.

Savinar was not optimistic that this fate could be avoided-- people don't want to make sacrifices or change their lifestyle, he said, and companies find there is more money to be made in war-related efforts than energy alternatives.

    Abiotic Update

In the last hour, Jerome Corsi, co-author of Black Gold Stranglehold, discussed the abiotic oil theory, which suggests that oil is not formed by decaying matter. Rather, it's a non-biological, natural product that is replenished by the earth. The so-called shortages are a tactic by the oil companies to charge more money, he argued.
