  • About the show

During Open Lines, George set up a 'magic memory' line for callers who wanted to share an event that had a profound effect on their lives. A trucker named Cheryl said she lived in Germany during her teen years, when the Berlin Wall was erected. She recalled the fateful day she was coming back from her violin lesson in East Berlin and was stopped from re-entering West Berlin. According to Cheryl, the U.S. Consulate had to get involved to bring her back to the other side.

An American soldier shared an unforgettable memory he brought back from the Iraq War, where he witnessed Iraqi women using their own bodies to shield allied forces from gunfire. Frequent caller JC phoned in to announce the "time of rectification," as well as to ask George to tithe 30% to support his "new revelation." At the end of the show, George marked the 32nd anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald by playing Gordon Lightfoot's hit song, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."

    EVP Recordings

In the first hour, paranormal researcher Garrett Husveth talked about his work and shared EVPs recorded during some of his investigations. Husveth believes EVPs are actual voices of the deceased. In one clip recorded at a haunted warehouse in New Jersey, a male voice can be heard saying, "Listen, hide it." In another EVP, Husveth captured what sounds like a ghostly animal growling inside a new condo. In a recording from a Civil War battlefield, a disembodied voice utters, "I was seeing the war."
