Moments of Evil & More

About the show

During Open Lines George offered a special hotline for callers who wanted to share what drove them to a moment of evil.

Steven in Wisconsin believes he may have been possessed by demons during a period in his life when he was obsessed with mutilating animals. Some callers discussed how the full moon adversely affects their personalities. Another caller claimed to have seen shadow people everywhere when he was ten years old.

Tracy shared a story about growing up in a haunted house, communicating with evil entities with a ouija board, and her attempt to have the dwelling exorcised. Paul in Salt Lake City said that he is being tormented by the spirit of the late anthropologist and shaman Carlos Castaneda and "a few of his witches."

In the last half-hour, George played part of his 11/11/05 interview with mad scientist and TV horror host Dr. Morgus.

TV Horror Movie Hostess

In the first hour, Cassandra Peterson talked about how she got her start portraying the late-night horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She credited actor and artist Robert Redding with creating the iconic look of the character. Peterson also discussed her reality show, The Search for the Next Elvira, as well as her relationship with Elvis Presley.

View this delightful video montage of several television horror personalities, including Macabra, Darcinia and, of course, Elvira.
