The Science of Reincarnation

About the show

Interdisciplinary cosmologist Paul Von Ward discussed his research into reincarnation and its effects on the human personality.Building on the reincarnation studies of Ian Stevenson and Jim Tucker, he synthesized sources from science, religion, hypnosis, and dream therapy to develop his approach. From our past lives, we inherit a legacy-- a "genotype" that informs our personality, knowledge and skills, and predisposes us in specific directions, he said.

The reincarnation process is essential for the conscious evolution of a species, as all living organisms move forward into their next lives, Von Ward suggested. He noted that people tend to look like their previous incarnations. This is borne out in photographs he's examined, which show similarities between a person and their purported previous identity. They often have the same general body type, ear forms, hair patterns and hand size proportions, he detailed.

Von Ward theorized that the 'psychoplasm', embedded in the bio-field, is the medium or mechanismin which traits are passed into subsequent lives. His Reincarnation Experiment, which people can participate in, offers past life clues for getting in touch with previous existences, including working with psychics, hypnotic regression, and dreams.

The Dog Whisperer

First hour guest, Cesar Millan of Dog Whisperer talked about his work with canines. Many owners in the U.S. shower their dogs with affection, but it's important to offer exercise and training first, he said.
