Paranormal Liaisons

About the show

Ian spoke with author and paranormal expert Brad Steiger about his controversial book, Otherworldly Affaires, which explores love and sexual relationships with entities from other dimensions. Steiger shared several cases from his book.

In one story, Steiger talked about a medium who had an "intimate relationship" with a spirit guide known as 'Bright Star.' According to Steiger, the medium said his union with Bright Star was "more meaningful [to him] than any human woman would have been." He recounted the case of a woman who claimed to have been impregnated by a spirit and given birth to a "wispy bit of ectoplasm." Steiger also discussed the paranormal experiences of pregnant mothers, incubus and succubus encounters, and otherworldly lovers from UFOs.

Steiger warned about 'spiritual parasites' who seek liaisons with humans in order to feed on their soul energy. He said our challenge in this life path is to "establish a successful relationship with another human being," not to be seduced or to seduce entities from the other side. Steiger also shared his experience at an "experimental session" (seance), where he personally witnessed the materialization and dematerialization of an object.

P.J. Soles

In the first hour, actress P.J. Soles talked about her film and television career. Soles is probably most well known for playing mean girl Norma Watson in the 1976 film adaptation of Stephen King's novel Carrie, and for her role as Lynda van der Klok in the 1978 horror film Halloween. Several noteworthy moments from Soles' early films were improvised, she explained, noting the famous bedroom scene in Halloween and the hilarious stove scene with Bill Murray from Stripes. Soles has also appeared more recently in Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects, and is currently working on other projects.
