About the show

Appearing for the first two hours, entertainer and magician Jim Karol shared some of his feats of mind & memory. He has memorized over 10,000 names of people he's encountered through his performances, and associated their names with a country, celebrity, or a movie. He tells these people "if they ever see me at any time in my life, whether it's at their school, at a mall, at a show, if I don't know the celebrity, movie or country that I gave them, they get $100 right on the spot." He uses a recall technique based on the spelling of their name.

Karol said he exercises his brain to keep it sharp, and also practices proper breathing techniques. He recommended the Do As One Project, which seeks to raise awareness of "healthy conscious breathing."

He also spoke about his ability to tell whether someone is telling the truth, revealing one of his cues that a person is lying-- their pupils dilate. He praised the work of Banachek, a mentalist (a magician who does mind reading) who has served as a consultant for many magic shows on TV. Karol shared a prediction: As 2012 arrives, C2C will have 100 million listeners, and the alien civilization that helped our ancestors will return to assist us in this time of change. They won't go to the White House, rather they'll spread their message on C2C.

The last half of the show featured Open Lines.
