Filling in for George, Dave Schrader (email) welcomed researcher William J. Hall for a discussion of a 1790 farmhouse in Connecticut that is at the epicenter of a paranormal flap. When famous ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated, they dubbed it "Ghost Central." Hall unlocked the private diary of farmhouse resident Donna Fillie, a document that spans five decades and recounts a parade of uncanny and sinister paranormal occurrences.
Hall prefaced his comments on Fillie's story with a thought he believes is true after conducting years of research into the paranormal. "Fakery or trickery or fraud is pretty rare in certain aspects of the paranormal," he said, noting that misinterpretation is common. The area where the farmhouse is located has a long history of strange activity, he explained, identifying Mohawk Mountain and Burr Pond in particular. Other houses nearby seem to be effected as well, he added. According to Hall, paranormal activity in the farmhouse may be linked to the land, which once belonged to Native Americans, and amplified by water which surrounds it on three sides. The area could be a portal or intersection point for a parallel world, he suggested.
The strange goings-on there have been reported for six generations. Family members have described seeing apparitions of customers who frequented the place when it was an old general store, and hearing horse and buggy sounds, Hall revealed. Fillie claimed to have seen a house which mysteriously vanished without a trace, and her mother is said to have experienced direct voice phenomenon, he noted. Fillie's grandson would interact with something in the house which no one else could see and put toys around a tree in the yard for the spirit of a little girl named Ashwar, Hall continued, directing listeners to view video of a purported encounter with the ghost girl. Hall also detailed a phenomena experienced by Fillie's mother in which on at least two occasions she received shaky pencil-written notes from old friends in her mailbox. In both instances, the friends did not write the notes, he said.

Open Lines followed in the latter half of the program. Jack from Alberta, Canada, recounted a story relayed to him by a co-worker named Lori. The day after another co-worker had left for Australia Lori dreamed she passed her on opposing escalators at the airport. When the other co-worker returned from her trip she admonished Lori for ignoring her on the escalator, but "Lori was sleeping in bed when that happened," Jack revealed. Randall from Avon Park, Florida, phoned in to share a spooky experience that occurred at his deceased grandfather's old barn. Randall said he heard rustling and mooing (even though cows had not been kept there for at least two years), and set his mobile phone to record the sounds. "I felt something brush against me so I just booked it out of there," he remembered. After listening to the recording, Randall thinks voice says, "move over new stars," which has left him puzzled. Guy from Lancaster, California, called to ask what a dream about flying (featuring Robin Williams in Fiddler on the Roof) could mean. Dave suggested the dream may have been astral projection.
