Libertarian Issues/ Templars in North America

About the show

Judge James P. Gray joined George in the first half to stump for the Libertarian party and explain why he thinks that its time has come. Gray was the Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate in 2012. He began by stating that "we couldn’t have come up with worse candidates" in the upcoming U.S. Presidential election and thinks that Libertarians have solutions to many political stalemates and bad policies. He pushed the idea of a flat tax or at least a simplified tax code to do away with loopholes and IRS bureaucracy and the huge industry of tax preparers and attorneys. Gray also repeated the Libertarian idea of legalizing and taxing all drugs, and used Portugal as an example of a country that has benefited from this policy. He stated that the Libertarian stance on immigration is to allow any who want to come to the U.S. to register for work visas after going through a thorough background check.

Gray believes that the mainstream candidates in this election are unsuitable to hold the office of President, and stated that "Donald Trump is a bully" and that Clinton is involved in scandal "everywhere she goes." He lamented that the Libertarian candidates are shut out of the debates and is convinced if they could be allowed to participate, Governors Gary Johnson (who is running for President) and Bill Weld (VP) would change the political playing field. In answer to a caller who was worried about voting for the lesser of two evils, Gray's advice is to "vote in favor of someone and let things go where they will."

Landscape architect William F. Mann is an officer of the Knights Templar of Canada's Grand Executive Committee, and serves as the Sovereign Great Priory's Grand Archivist. In the second half, he presented evidence of the Knights Templar in the New World long before Columbus, and secret settlements they built as they moved westward, leaving hidden treasure across North America. He recalled the history of the Knights, who began in the 12th century as nine individuals from wealthy French families, charged with protecting pilgrims on their way to and from the Holy Land. Eventually, they became so powerful and wealthy that they were looked upon as a threat by both the Vatican and the French King, who attempted to arrest many members on Friday the 13th of November in 1307.

Mann’s research has led him to believe that a few prominent members of the order escaped prosecution and sailed for North America, carrying a treasure of gold and other artifacts that he estimates is now worth "about 10 billion dollars." Mann was quick to point out that the treasure cache would also contain many lost secrets of alchemy, philosophy and other ancient knowledge, and that he approaches the quest to find it as a duty and not a path to material wealth. He believes that the treasure is currently located in a cave in the mountains of Montana, and says he has visited the site, but not entered it. He is revealing these secrets at this time because he and others in the order believe that it may help the world situation to make people aware of ideas that can improve their lives and give them a more "direct relationship with God."
