Antidepressants & Violence/ Orb Photography

About the show

In the first half, oncologist Dr. Charles Simone argued that most antidepressants, as well other prescribed medications can induce violence, and are linked to the increase in school shootings. It's problematic, he said, that antidepressants are prescribed off-label for almost any psychiatric disorder when these drugs were designed to treat people with severe depression. Further, the data shows that antidepressants are particularly ineffective for children and teenagers between the ages of 9 and 18, he reported. In 90% of the mass killings at schools, the shooters were either on or had taken psychotropic drugs associated with violence, he noted.

Chantix, a smoking cessation drug, led the list of medications connected with violence-related behaviors such as homicide, and physical abuse and assault, he cited. This was followed by 12 different antidepressants including Prozac and Paxil, ADHD drugs like Adderall, and the sleep medication Ambien. Suicidal ideation, he added, is a common symptom for antidepressants. Simone has drawn up a six-point plan on how to stop school shootings, including identifying potential shooters, and safeguarding schools with secure classroom doors, and metal detectors.

With a BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, Elizabeth Eagle worked for IBM and has traveled the world capturing the phenomenon of "Light Beings" or orbs. In the latter half, she described how the mysterious orbs have frequently appeared in photographs, as well as showing up at natural disasters and crop circles. Beyond white balls or circles, she has documented many other shapes and types of "Living Light," which she defined as light that is consciously communicating with us. Since the advent of photography and film, evidence for Light Beings has been accumulating, and Eagle has spotted them in popular films ranging from The Wizard of Oz (1939) to The Revenant (2015).

Regarding the appearance of orbs at natural disasters, such as the 2011 tsunami in Japan, she believes the light forms are well-intentioned and show up out of concern for humanity. Eagle suggested that the orbs are not confined to our planet but exist throughout the solar system as subtle energy or plasma forms. "They are alive," she stated. "They don't need oxygen or any kind of atmosphere...They can move in flocks" and multiply, and then come back together. Eagle has concluded that what shows up in her photographs are not artifacts from dust particles or lens flares because of their unique shapes, colors, and properties. While she has taken many orb images, her colleague Grace Butler seems to have a special vibrational rapport with photographing light beings.
