Ancient Civilizations & Gods / Alternative Cancer Approaches

About the show

In the first half, author Freddy Silva discussed the mystery of how humans suddenly 'discovered' civilization around 8000 BC, apparently assisted by another culture that lived alongside them - unusually tall, fair-skinned, red-haired or blonde. These ‘gods' knew how to bend the forces of nature, enabling them to develop a comparatively advanced civilization. Some claim these beings could be the Anunnaki. Silva said his research indicates that "all indigenous peoples tell the same story" of a race of people who rescued the survivors of the great flood and taught them the principles of civilization. This advanced race, he continued, sent fragments of meteors or comets to hit the Earth and wipe out the humans who had bred with a malevolent, non-human race, and that this is the origin of the great flood legends from around the globe.

Silva examined reports from the Maori of New Zealand and discovered evidence that they knew of a race of gods who would visit them each year in canoes and help them with developing their future, and that this group also visited Easter Island and even Egypt, based on clues from similarities in language across the civilizations. Silva also shared that people in what is now known as the Solomon Islands in the Pacific still tell of a race of benevolent, red-haired giants who live underground, claiming that these people are at least 18 feet tall. He reported seeing Maori records dating from the 17th-century indicating that the remains of these giants washed up on the shores of New Zealand. Summarizing, Silva concluded that "the story of humanity is far, far older than we’ve been told."

Successful businessman James Templeton was an athlete and family man when he was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma from a mole on his back. In the second half, he revealed what he did after conventional treatment failed and how he restored his health and helped many other terminal patients take control of their health and add many years to their lives. Templeton recalled that he kept himself at the peak of physical health, but at age 31, he was diagnosed and treated for melanoma, but it had already spread. He said that he lost all will to live, and his wife even left him, taking his daughter with her. His doctor said that he "had a 20% chance of surviving 3-5 years" even with treatment.

While in the hospital waiting for chemotherapy, Templeton received three suggestions from different people about alternative therapies, specifically a macrobiotic diet and the vitamin C treatments recommended by Dr. Linus Pauling. He decided to start with the chemo but became quickly worried when he saw other chemo patients dying from compromised immune systems. Templeton said he "snuck out of that hospital at 2 in the morning" and made up his mind to heal himself. Within a year and a half, through following a strict macrobiotic diet and massive doses of vitamin C, Templeton said he cured himself. He also swore off meat (except fish) and sugar. Templeton reminded listeners to ask their doctor what their chances are for survival before deciding to try alternative therapies, since if the odds are in their favor, conventional treatment may be preferable.
