Natural Healing/ Past Lives & Reincarnation

About the show

In the first half, Dr. Joel Wallach addressed alternative health approaches and the benefits of remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from many diseases and ailments. For the problem of gout (an inflammatory condition associated with the presence of uric acid), he recommends avoiding such foods as organ meats, shellfish, and beans which are high in uric acid. Gout can affect the nervous system, he added, and topically applied CBD oil can temporarily reduce pain from the condition.

In cases of optic nerve atrophy where vision starts to decrease, he said that doctors sometimes misdiagnose the problem as related to cataracts, glaucoma, or a detached retina, but treatment for these generally doesn't work because you have osteoporosis of the skull squeezing the optic nerve. Various supplements like lutein can help repair the eye, Wallach cited. He also suggested that the problem of obesity is less connected to overeating and lack of exercise and mainly brought about by nutrient deficiencies.

In the latter half, Australian author and radio host Barry Eaton discussed his first-hand experiences and research into past lives and reincarnation. He shared hypnotic regressions he underwent with Peter Smith of the Newton Institute. In one of Eaton's past lives, he was a young philosopher in ancient Greece named Kasos, and observed a horrible slaughtering of his countrymen by conquering Romans. "I've been told by my contact in the spirit world that this [his current existence] is my 66th life," he noted, and the number of times we reincarnate depends on the individual. Many spirits also experience lives on other planets, he added, and the purpose of living multiple times is for the soul to evolve.

Children under the age of six are more likely to remember past lives without any type of hypnosis, and the late Dr. Ian Stevenson conducted compelling studies showing how some of these kids' memories checked out in the real world, Eaton reported. Those close to us tend to reincarnate in "soul groups," he shared, but they inhabit varying roles in each existence, like a traveling theater troupe assigned different parts in each play. In another regression Smith conducted with Eaton, he revisited a life in the Tudor court of England, as a young man named Thomas whose hands were shaking with fear over an appointment with the court. He further learned that Thomas' hand had been crippled by a carriage accident. As a kind of healing, Smith called in a number of Eaton's previous incarnations-- all soldiers or warriors, who'd experienced tremors, and they were asked to release the energy. Coming out of this session, Eaton discovered that his own problem of shaky hands had greatly subsided.
