Hollywood Godfather / Alien Portals

About the show

Gianni Russo was a 25-year-old mobster with no acting experience when he walked onto the set of The Godfather and entered Hollywood history. He joined George Knapp to discuss his childhood in Little Italy, where Mafia legend Frank Costello took him under his wing, to acting as a messenger for New Orleans mob boss Carlos Marcello during the JFK assassination, and his lifelong friendship with Frank Sinatra. Russo began with the story of his killing of an associate of drug lord Pablo Escobar, who injured a woman in his club and then turned on Russo. In self-defense, Russo "wound up shooting him twice between the eyes." Russo recalled that in 1949, mob boss Frank Costello gave him "three hundred dollar bills" when he was 13 years old and said, "you work for me now." At the time, he had no idea who Costello was. Soon he was traveling all over the country carrying messages and envelopes full of money for Costello.

Russo said that JFK's father Joe Kennedy made millions during prohibition by selling illegal alcohol, and asked his Mob connections to help get his son John elected to the presidency. He recalled that JFK's brother Robert hated his father and turned against him by going after the mafia as Attorney General. When he convinced his brother to go along with his plans, the Mob decided to assassinate the president. Russo said four Mob-connected shooters committed the crime. One of Russo's best friends was Frank Sinatra, who was against Russo acting in the Godfather films, which put a strain on their relationship. Russo said he got a major part in the film because he brokered a deal between the Mob and the filmmakers. He commented that he has "always been a person that could capitalize on a situation."

Longtime paranormal researcher Timothy Green Beckley appeared for the second half to talk about his life and investigations of strange creatures, weird lights, and portal areas. He discussed how extraterrestrials might be visiting Earth by traveling across time and space and enter and exit our world through portals, vortexes, and star gates. Beckley, who has been involved in tales of the unexplained since the 1960s, said that he has "40 file cabinets full" of data and other material that would support any number of theories. He described portals and "window areas" around the world where he thinks that creatures and intelligences from time and space can travel to Earth with relative ease.

In his latest book, Beckley describes his trips and research in the Sedona, Arizona area, and the long history of strange reports of UFOs, humanoids, and other mysterious creatures that people have claimed to witness for decades. He called Sedona a "UFO hotspot," known for its "vortex areas," which he described as places with "high deposits of crystals or copper in the ground that causes an energy surge" and apparently create "dimensional portals." Beckley also spoke of cases of shape-shifting UFOs such as one from Argentina involving a group of teens who witnessed a "metallic object change into a being right in front of their eyes." He guessed that some observed UFOs and apparent beings "may be crossing space and time like a real-life Star Trek."
