Haunted Real Estate / Open Lines

About the show

Mark Anthony, the "Psychic Lawyer," is a medium who specializes in communication with spirits. During the first half of the program, Anthony discussed haunted real estate, including the infamous Lizzie Borden murder house, as well as communicating with the spirits of ancestors. There are two houses related to Lizzie Borden currently up for sale, he reported. One is the house where the gruesome axe murders took place and the other is Maplecroft mansion, where Borden lived out the rest of her days after she was acquitted of the murder of Andrew and Abby Borden. "How she wasn't convicted is amazing," Anthony commented.

The home where the grisly killings occurred is a bed and breakfast and listed at $2 million, he continued. Paranormal investigators and television crews have reported electrical anomalies with equipment there, and many believe the spirits of Borden's slain father and stepmother still haunt the place, Anthony added. A house where past events have tainted its reputation or decreased its market value is called a "stigmatized property," he explained, noting only two states, Minnesota and Massachusetts, require disclosure for perceived paranormal activity.

Anthony shared a case involving a woman whose son had been murdered. During the reading the slain son's spirit came through as well as the spirit of a woman named Lizzie, he revealed. In his vision Anthony saw Lizzie hacking a jack-o'-lantern with a hatchet and heard her say, "Justice will be done." The client admitted she is a descendant of Lizzie Borden and her son's murder trial would begin on Halloween, he disclosed. "It appears the spirits of our ancestors remain connected to us," Anthony said, pointing out how they will often come forward to provide guidance and messages of healing, even if in life they were a psychotic axe murderer.

Open Lines followed in the latter half of the show. Derek in Omaha, Nebraska, recounted a story with an intriguing synchronicity. According to Derek, he was on the bank of a river looking for brown mushrooms when he spotted a dark stone object on the sand. It was a tomahawk axe head and near it were arrowheads and a plaque which read "Jedediah Williams - June 1836," Derek reported. He wished he could share his amazing find with his mother who was traveling at the time, and at that moment his mom accidentally made a video call to him.

Patty from Enterprise, Oregon, claimed she was a cousin of Norma Jean Baker, a.k.a. Marilyn Monroe. Patty described Monroe as strong-headed and a bit mischievous, and confessed "she even tried to get me to go to Hollywood with her once." She lost touch with her cousin after she gained fame and said the family was stunned when Monroe was found dead. Patty told George she believes Monroe was killed. Blair in Sedona wondered why desalination plants, like the ones located in Saudi Arabia and Israel, have not been built to deal with droughts in the Southwest and other dry parts of the country. "Pump in Pacific Ocean water and make the desert bloom again," Blair said.

The final half hour featured a replay from 12/14/18 when author and professional intuitive Tanya Carroll Richardson talked about the nature of angels and how to summon their help.
