COVID Revelations / Addiction Therapy

About the show

Dr. Andrew G. Huff is a combat veteran, technologist, and infectious disease epidemiologist with decades of experience in scientific research and entrepreneurship. In the first half, he shared his contention that the COVID-19 virus was engineered in the US, and the technology was transferred to Wuhan to avoid domestic gain of function laws (gain of function refers to genetically altering an organism to modify or enhance its capabilities). A proposal submitted to the National Institute of Health outlined how gain of function research would be conducted with the emerging bat coronavirus, with several collaborators, including the Wuhan Institute of Virology, he stated. According to Huff, what likely happened was that the US traded advanced biotechnology to the Chinese in order to collect intelligence on their laboratory.

Huff was critical of gain of function research-- creating virus sequences that would never happen in nature, and then concocting a drug or medical product to counteract them. He believes the rationale is tied into the "medical-military complex"-- a vast business and moneymaking endeavor. Because COVID-19 is a respiratory virus, he suspects the most likely explanation is that it escaped by accident from the Wuhan lab, which was not following the proper safety protocols. "This is one of the reasons why I'm so against gain of function work because if you're going to make something aerosolized...it is so easy to make a small mistake and then kill millions of people," he commented. Huff also had issues with the mRNA vaccines, and he claimed that patents were filed as early as 2016 to treat elements of COVID-19.

Psychotherapist, addiction counselor, and teacher of "A Course in Miracles," Dr. Donna Marks, believes every addiction is a substitute for love. In the latter half, she discussed various types of addictions, including opioids, her own personal history of addictive behaviors, and ways to overcome them. Marks characterized all addictions as stemming from an invisible hole inside us, and that we are trying to fill that emptiness. One reason standard addiction treatments don't stick is that someone may, for example, be treated for alcoholism and then switch to smoking pot, or stop smoking and start overeating, she explained. "It just moves around like a merry-go-round," she added. An addiction means that a person has lost control, and is experiencing negative consequences as a result, she clarified.

Addictions drain us from our spiritual source and interfere with our ability to have healthy relationships, she said. They get us "into the maze, [as] I call it, and the more addicted we become, the further into the maze we go, and the harder it is to get out." Yet, the solution can be simple, Marks suggested-- we need to be open to the miracle of changing our perception, and get to the source of the emptiness or void, and then replace it with love. By opening up to all the possibilities that life offers us, we can feel "the joy and gratitude for what we have" and "be the love that you want," she detailed.

During the last half-hour, a tribute to the late Dr. Tim Ball was presented, featuring an excerpt from his 1/20/20 show appearance.
