Energy Work / High Strangeness in Kentucky

About the show

Natasha Venter is a natural-born psychic, and has been described as a bridge between worlds, using her gifts as an inter-dimensional guide, animal communicator, and reader of energies. In the first half, she joined Connie Willis (info) to discuss what it means to be an energy seer and keeping your life in the clear. For Venter, our potential to see and harness energy is around us all the time: the love we feel and show to others, or the awe we feel in nature, for example. The key is being willing to find your own truth and healing; such transformation can be offered by people like Venter, but must be accepted by the individual.

Venter also described her encounters with the forces of evil. On one occasion, she and her team responded to the presence of Lucifer's cronies at a dance club, she recounted. By drawing on the forces of light, she was able to summon Mother Mary, who cleared the club of its evil energies and made it safe again. "Darkness is here to teach us to deal with more light," Venter asserted. She also noted that although as a psychic and energy seer, she can offer guidance in spiritual matters, it's up to us as individuals to take care of the human obstacles (addiction, fear, or resentment, for example) that can complicate the process of healing.

***************

In the second half, writer, researcher, and podcaster Nathan Paul Isaac delved into the mysterious folklore and history of the Penny Royal region of Kentucky. After discovering Kentucky's status as a hotbed of high strangeness and paranormal activity years ago, Isaac said, he decided to launch his Penny Royal podcast, which highlights the prominent and lesser-known folklore of the region.

Cryptids like the Hopkinsville Goblin and Bigfoot call Kentucky home, as do the mysterious black panthers reported by numerous residents. Famous people like Edgar Cayce and tragedies like the JFK assassination have connections to Kentucky, Isaac continued; even the US military's first claim of death caused by a UFO occurred there. In addition, the "Kentucky Anomaly" refers to the area being one of the three highest concentrations of electromagnetic energy, along with southern Alaska and Sedona, Arizona.
