Lyme Disease / Stonehenge Secrets

About the show

Author and artist A.W. Finnegan joined guest host Richard Syrett (Twitter) to discuss his new book, The Sleeper Agent, which looks at the life work of Erich Traub, his stealth weapons of biological warfare and his weaponization of ticks and Lyme disease - an illness that has impacted Finnegan. He spoke about the debilitating condition and its potential association with cancer. Finnegan speculated on his own contraction of Lyme disease, suggesting congenital transmission from his mother as well as a subsequent tick bite in 2016.

Finnegan's experience prompted his interest in the topic of biological warfare, particularly John Loftus' work linking Lyme disease to such activities. He delved into Eric Traub's background, highlighting his expertise in bio-weapons acquired through studies in Germany and the Rockefeller Institute. Finnegan reported on Traub's role in Nazi Germany's bio-weapons program, including experiments on animals and possibly humans.

Traub's post-war activities included his recruitment under Operation Paperclip and subsequent work at Plum Island, Finnegan continued. He suggested Traub heavily influenced the American bio-warfare program, emphasizing his mastery in camouflaging offensive research as defensive. Finnegan alleged Traub's involvement in conducting tick experiments on Plum Island, potentially leading to the spread of Lyme disease from the early 1950s onwards (this challenges the commonly held belief of a 1975 origin).

In the latter half of the program, author and researcher Maria Wheatley delved into the mysteries of Stonehenge examined in her book, The Secret History of Stonehenge. She spoke about the significance of long-skulled people and the queen of Stonehenge, who was found in a long Barrow near the ancient site, which pointed to her status as a prestigious figure. Unlike typical communal burials in long Barrows, the queen's singular burial indicates her importance as a queen or high priestess.

Wheatley described physical characteristics of the long-skulled people, which as their name implies had elongated skulls with ear placement further back on the head. Their height averaged around four feet nine inches for women and five feet for men, she reported. Wheatley addressed the debate over whether their skull elongation was natural or achieved through cranial deformation. According to Wheatley, there were two types of long-skulled people: hyper elongated and lesser elongated. The hyper elongated likely utilzed cranial deformation techniques and represented a ruling elite class, she noted.

Wheatley suggested the long-skulled people originated from Anatolia (Asia Minor) and possibly traveled across Europe to reach England. Drawing parallels between their burial practices and those of ancient Egyptians, Wheatley theorized there was a cultural exchange between ancient Britons and Egyptians. She also reported on Stonehenge's construction phases, the megalith's spiritual and ritual significance, and a missing altar stone taken to St. James's Palace that may have been used within the royal family for healing or occult practices.
