UFO Phenomena / Mediumship & Gobekli Tepe

About the show

Paul Hynek is the son of J. Allen Hynek, an astronomer known for investigations of UFOs for the US Air Force. Paul is the former Chairman of the Advisory Board of MUFON, and a consultant on History's "Project Blue Book." In the first half, he shared memories of his father, and discussed UFO technology, and the alien experience. Paul recalled how his father took him to Harold Sherman's ESP conference when he was a kid, and in addition to his UFO research, J. Allen was very open to the possibility of psychic phenomena and had Rosicrucian leanings. It was his father who first developed the Close Encounters classification system, such as a Close Encounter of the First Kind that referred to a UFO seen at a close enough distance to observe specific details.

Now, Paul has developed a new classification system for UFO experiences, expanding upon his father's work and adding categories for types of evidence, including physiological and technological. Further, he has been exploring the connections between alien encounters and those who take the hallucinogenic substance DMT, which ties into his father's idea that UFOs might be an interdimensional phenomenon. "So purely in the interest of science," Paul said he had experimented with taking DMT, and during the experiences, he's had conversations with entities who have hinted that they're related to UFOs and aliens. Paul, who also touched on his interest in cryptocurrency, will be a presenter at the upcoming Contact in the Desert conference.

Col. John Alexander has been a figure in the UFO research community for decades. In the latter half, he spoke about attending Arthur Findlay College in the UK to study mediumship, along with his visits to the mysterious sites Gobekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe. Alexander said he participated in energy and psychic healing during his week-long stay at Findlay College, which presents a focus on the Spiritualism movement. He said that most of the participants were from a variety of countries in Europe. His wife Victoria had success practicing trance mediumship there and works with a "team"-- a number of entities from the Other Side who have ongoing communications with her.

One goal of studying mediums, he cited, is to be able to validate and specifically get verifiable information. Alexander also compared mediumship with the practice of remote viewing and how both are related to consciousness, as well as delved into shamanic experiences and ayahuasca visions, which he researched in Brazil. He noted that Turkey had a large earthquake in February, and Gobekli Tepe was the epicenter. But when they got there, there was almost no damage to the site. It doesn't make sense that the site, dating back some 12,000 years, was developed by hunter-gatherers, he pointed out, as it contains large, sophisticated statues, possibly depicting the first human face. Karahan Tepe is about 2,000 years older than Gobekli, and has only been 1% explored, he added.
