In the first half, author Joseph Selbie, a seasoned meditation and yoga practitioner, shared insights into the intersection of modern science and spirituality along with miraculous cases of healing. He argued for a shift towards "energy-centered physics," encompassing advancements like quantum physics and string theory, stating, "Matter is energy condensed but there really is no actual space that we think of as matter." This perspective, he believes, opens new avenues for understanding healing. Selbie illustrated his point with a poignant story of a woman who, despite severe multiple sclerosis, experienced a miraculous recovery after years of praying for others. "She heard a voice... Get up and walk. And she did," he recounted, highlighting the profound relationship between emotional and spiritual states and physical healing.
He emphasized that healing is largely within our control, stating, "You have to live it. You have to own your life." According to Selbie, there are three essential keys to healing: emotional power, deeply held beliefs, and a connection to the spirit. He contended that while physical health choices like diet and exercise play a role, they only account for about 20% of healing; the remaining 80% stems from emotional well-being and spiritual connection. He further elaborated on the concept of the body as a "holographic projection," linking changes in emotional and spiritual states to tangible physical health outcomes. Techniques such as meditation and affirmations were suggested for cultivating positive emotions, with the ultimate goal being to "deliberately lift the energy of your heart."

Mark Pitstick, MA, DC, has over forty years of experience in hospitals, mental health centers, and private practice. In the latter half, he shared insights about the SoulPhone Project, a groundbreaking initiative aiming to facilitate communication between the living and those who have passed away. The project, spearheaded by Dr. Gary Schwartz, focuses on "post-material communication technology," allowing for interactions with the deceased, he detailed. According to their experimental research, those on the Other Side have a certain kind of physicality and, if they want, can make sound or be seen. The current state of the SoulPhone technology involves a "soul switch," which provides binary yes or no answers during sessions such as with bereaved parents seeking to connect with their children. If these parents get 100% correct responses, "then they know at a much deeper level, their child really is alive and well," he added.
The project hopes to make communication as reliable as modern smart devices, providing hope and connection for those mourning their loved ones, with eventually adding a keyboard that allows for typed answers rather than just yes/no responses. He explained that currently, they use mediums to line up connections with various deceased scientific luminaries and religious leaders, but as the SoulPhone advances, the use of a medium won't be necessary. Pitstick talked about the talented team of researchers and volunteers working on the SoulPhone Project and its connection to inventors of the past, like Edison and Bell, who attempted to develop such a machine.
