Mind Techniques / Generational Curses

About the show

With a background in microbiology and hypnotherapy, Ravinder Taylor has worked alongside author Eldon Taylor, researching self-help modalities. In the first half, she discussed mind-training techniques and breaking through blocks to achieve success. "Mind training is the art of tweaking formally subconscious processes to eliminate self-disruptive behaviors, enhance health and vitality, and supercharge success potential," she explained. Highlighting the importance of understanding our personal choices, she noted that concepts like the Law of Attraction can sometimes oversimplify achieving goals. "Rather than asking, you need to choose something different," she advised. Through practical exercises grounded in scientific research, Taylor aims to help individuals regain control of their lives and align their subconscious desires with their conscious goals.

Taylor talked about the profound impact of positive thinking and its potential to shape our lives. Reciting positive affirmations isn't enough, she pointed out. Instead, we must understand the workings of the subconscious, which often harbors negative beliefs based on past experiences. There are genuine health benefits from an optimistic mindset, with one study showing that the most optimistic people have significantly lower risks of dying from serious illnesses, she reported. A straightforward technique for optimism is smiling more often. "It's a great way to automatically turn on the happy brain chemicals, which will help your whole body work better. It makes your immune system work better. It opens you up to creativity," she enthused. Another method she shared is the Innertalk technology, developed by her husband Eldon Taylor, which uses audio tracks to reduce the mind's negative chatter.

With a PhD in metaphysics and a lifetime of bizarre experiences, award-winning psychic Dr. Linda Salvin works to reconcile the psychic and spiritual world with the scientific world. In the latter half, she spoke about generational curses, as well as recounted tales from her life, including her harrowing experience during the crash of a 737, which she had a premonition about. The crash, along with subsequent traumatic events, propelled her into a deeper spiritual awakening. Regarding curses, she emphasized the importance of lineage, suggesting that negative experiences can be inherited across generations, saying, "Sometimes we're born exposed to a curse that the mother or father had transferred." Curses may take the form of constant bad luck, money issues, or health problems, Salvin said.

She can sense if someone is cursed, and described it as "a heavy, cloaky, dark film." Methods like prayer, meditation, and candle magic often are effective in lifting or eliminating these burdens, she reported. "I've been given a gift...to cut through the dark to see the light," and to help clients release negative attachments, Salvin declared. There is a higher prevalence of curses in certain communities, such as those of Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, and other European descents, especially going back to earlier generations, she added. Salvin also touched on the concept of karma, noting that the more negativity you put out, the more you will get back. During the last hour, she gave readings to callers.
